We’re not getting an impactful player this year so let’s hope we don’t face the Lakers, who are our only threat with their length.

What happened to the Rockets 2022 frp?

Below is how I have it but I’m no expert.

    2020 - tradable
    2021 - OKC swap
    2022 - tradable
2023 - must keep or swap
    2024 - to OKC
    2025 - OKC swap
    2026 -to OKC

Think they still own it but something about trading consecutive picks?

    2020 own
    2021 pick swap
    2022 own?
    2023 own?
    2024 OKC
    2025 pick swap
    2026 OKC

That doesn't sound odd to me. I have liked him for a while now. His best asset is being able to pass at this size. BUT, he is injury prone. But he has upside. I think @Clutch would have interest in Giles.

I think it was accidentally not mentioned. Rockets can move 2020 and 2022 picks.

I agree that it is a buy low candidate, it just surprised me in light of the improved play of Hartenstein.

We can speculate it is to move Capela or Hartenstein but that is just speculation.

Right which hypothetically could allow the Rockets to trade both for a very good player still on his rookie contract. Obviously that is a short list, but it is possible. A team with a rookie scale player that they really like as a starter, but don't believe will be a star could be movable for one or two #1's.

Players like Malik Beasley, OG Anunoby, Mo Bamba, Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges. Possibly even someone like De'Andre Hunter or Matisse Thybulle.

I am not saying these players will be available, but they are likely the type of players the Rockets would try to pick off with draft picks and little salary involved.

I don't think fans will need to do anything. Harden + Westbrook will let him hear it.

The Rockets haven't paid luxury tax since 2015 - 2016. They can take on significant salary for 2 - 3 years without hitting the repeater tax.

Morey must make a move to improve the team this year, regardless of cost. If he doesn't and the Rockets don't win a championship, the Harden era is probably over as we'll start losing key pieces of the team starting with D'A.

Realistic target should be Taj Gibson, good defender / rebounder, classic buy low situation.

Reality is though we will add no one and use our pick to duck the tax because TIlman is an awful owner.

What about Dario Saric? I've always thought he would be a good role player for us. Does the little things. High BBIQ. Looks like the Suns have no use for him anymore.

I'm OK with Houston standing pat or just making minor adjustments this mid-season.

Or it could be to replace Tyson minutes. Healthy Giles is more skilled and more athletic than Hartenstein.

If you in a ROCKETS uniform they will trash you relentlessly
    The Second you leave
They get giant boners for you to comeback

We love every player not on the team

We need solid power forward, we need size; morey, let it happen.

Well, I don't know about a giant boner. Maybe a three quarter chubb. Of course, I'm not 28 anymore.

Marisa Miller in her prime? Now we're talking giant boner.

Suns gave the Pacers a 2nd round pick to take TJ Warren off their hands. They would probably give us a first rounder to take Saric.

I wish. He's 6'10" and can shoot so I'll take him. A second round draft should be enough. Does he fit into our MLE or one of our exceptions.
