The predictions & win-loss projections: 1. Nuggets 58.2-23.8 2. Thunder 58.1-23.9 3. Timberwolves 57.9-24.1 4. Lakers 57.5-24.5 5. Spurs 55.9-26.1 6. Clippers 51.6-30.4 7. Jazz 46.7-35.3 8. Grizzlies 45.7-36.3 ------------------------ 9. Mavericks 48.7-38.3 10. Hornets 34.3-47.7 11. Trailblazers 28.6-53.4 12. Kings 28.5-53.5 13. Warriors 27.7-54.3 14. Suns 26.1-55.9 15. Rockets 18.2-63.8 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I personally believe that we will be much better than the 'experts' at ESPN believe. I think that we could approach, at least, the 38-40 win mark. Why does everyone in the media refer to our 3 rookies? Donatas is a rookie, Machado, if he makes the Roster, is a rookie. We could potentially have 5 rookies on our roster. 4 on the floor at the same time! Imagine: Lin Lamb White Jones Motiejunas Could be 5 rookies on the floor if Machado was running the point, our own version of the Fab 5. Lin and Martin comprise an awesome scoring backcourt. Parsons, Delfino, Forbes, Douglas can all shoot the 3. Asik is a potential double double guy, who will anchor our defence. Our rookies will have some awesome games to remember and some games to forget. Our strengths are our offence and ability to score from the perimeter. Our major weakness is experience, perimeter defence and we don't have a back up at center. Good news is ESPN have the Raptors also missing the playoffs...40 wins 9th seed, so there is still the possibility that we can get our annual 14th pick. Two draft picks next year, a solid core of skilled youngsters, the Rockets future looks bright; just expect some very dark nights this season. Still this is a team that could, if all things fall into place, challenge for a spot in the playoffs. Yes we are young, but the Rockets 'Heart of a Champion' still beats. Never under estimate the Heart of a Champion. Stay positive!
58 wins for the timberwolves? i would bet everything i have that they will not get to 58 wins. even if kevin love weren't going to miss 6-8 weeks. and it's hard to see even a mildly healthy lakers not winning 65 or so. our prediction doesn't seem that crazy. we have a few nice players plus a lot of youth. that isn't a historically successful formula for winning. but it is a nice formula for getting a high pick.
Crap preview did not mention the best player on the team, Ömer Aşık. Also, there are four rookies, not three. They forgot Motiejunas.
BSPN does it again. The Rockets will prove all the nay sayers wrong this season. I just believe this team will make the playoffs.
I picked us in at 11 when the season is done. I don't care if we finish 15th even, that would be two very early lottery picks in next seasons draft and maybe the top pick.
i worry about our front court scoring to, but to say that golden state and sac town will finish ahead of us..hahahahhahaha...good one. let me guess, now that crooklyn has the greatest player in Joe johnson, they will go from 20 wins to 60 wins team. =/
Top 7 teams are set, but after that it's a sharp drop-off. Rockets could conceivably make playoffs as 8ths seed, but that seems rather unlikely. My vote: 13th (could see as high as 10th).
I would welcome this and finally a top 5 pick. I doubt it happens, I don't think we are that bad...as in worst in the west bad. If we play the rookies a lot we'll be this bad...but we will not. Jones may be the only one to get significant minutes it seems.
If Bogut and Curry can remain healthy I think they will also finish ahead of us. Sacremento is a wild card. They have a lot of young talent but the team itself is just dysfunctional and lacks leadership. Cousins is better than any player we have right now if you ask me.
I LOL at minnesota being #13 with 57.9 wins. rubio and love won't be back till around december, yeah im sure they will be one of the best teams in the league till then.... obviously the rockets have a lot of young talent, but i highly doubt we will have 18 wins in a 82 game season. Maybe espn was on full r****d as usual, and thought it was still a lockout season?
Voted 13th. LOL to those who voted 7th-8th basically saying this year's roster is is playoff bound compared to last year's.
I would welcome this with open arms. I doubt it happens as well but if we are the worst team in the NBA i will be ecstatic.
How?-They lost Love till whenever, and Rubio as well till December...Hmmmm...weird rating for the Wolves-Guess they're banking on Roy
If guys develop then who cares how many Ws? If they Bobcat then I'd care. I'll be watching, but expecting a lot of 4Q losses. It takes experience to win late.
