there's been some discussion that EVERY team in the NBA is suffering from conditioning problems early in the season. Some commenters suggest it's due to the pre-season being cut down; others say the international travel to Japan and China screws up with teams' rhythms. All of which has contributed (so goes the argument) to what people feel are an abnormally large number of early-season injuries in the NBA.

What do you think about the idea that this is a broader problem that isn't just limited to the Rockets?

This was the play that rivers challenged late and the national tv guys barely mentioned the contact. Dont even think they mentioned his absence afterwards...

sure... please tell me how Morey gets “real help” with almost no draft picks, almost no contracts he can move and an owner that doesn’t want to spend money unless it is his idea.

Clark and Hartenstein are garbage. They are just filling a roster spot until deals are made.

"Garbage" is too strong a word. I reject it.

Keep that same energy if Hartenstein and Gary play well in the coming days. If they play that is.

Hartenstein hustles but is extremely limited.

Clark cannot shoot and isn’t nearly as good defensively as hoped based on his performance in college.

They may have short term success but there is a reason they aren’t playing and it isn’t because MDA is stubborn, it is because they aren’t very good.

Having said that, I would rather be wrong than right.

    He has done it before.

Turned Rafer Alston into Kyle Lowry.

Then turned Lowry into the modern day Wilt Chamberlain.

He's supposed to be this genius. He hasnt dont **** about our role players in two years. So all you people here talking like he's the answer. He needs to answer this. Year after year our role palyers clank shots building ****ing brick walls around toyota center in the playoffs and its always blame harden. NO NO Blame Morey. He gets a lengendary talent but fails to put the Right pieces around him FAIL.

Was it Morey’s decision to sign Anderson? Nope...

Was it Morey’s decision to not resign Trevor Ariza?
    Nope...

Was it Morey’s decision to trade multiple assets to move Anderson to save the owner money?
    Nope...

Was it Morey’s decision to wait on the JaMychal Green trade?
    Nope....

Was it Morey’s decision to get under the tax line last year?
    Nope...

Was it Morey’s decision to not take on players like Patterson and Valentine so we could use them for matching salary purposes?
    Nope...

So you want Morey; with no real draft capital, with only the ability to trade for someone making 6 million a year or less.... and with an owner that gets cold feet... to magically add really good players to this team and also avoid the luxury tax?

Take it up with the owner.

First of all the people not directing blame at Morey are directing it at our owner, definitely not Harden.

Second, last year was when he fell short with the acquisition of role players (though Faried worked for a bit, and actually he did also get Rivers). Shumpert failed (and I think we should have kept Ennis, but we got cheap). But you’re claiming the past two years? We had a pretty complete team two seasons ago and he still added Gerald Green, Joe Johnson and Brandan Wright. Wright stayed hurt but we were pretty excited about that possibility, Gerald Green worked out enough and we were all pretty excited about Joe Johnson. Yes he failed too but Morey did his job right that year.

He had a trade for a very good role player (JaMychal Green) and the owner got cold feet and then when he finally approved it, it was too late.

That would have been a hell of a pick up.
Literally he is exactly what we need. No guarantee he would have produced for us but can play both forward positions. I would be completely ok with a House Tucker Green rotation of forwards.

All I see are excuses for Morey. He's had how long to build around harden. Even when we were really good it was mostly because of Harden. If you take Harden off of the 2017-2018 ROckets they wouldnt make the playoffs. Same as every year Harden and scrubs. We still really didnt have enough. Morey has not been THAT great of a GM. He's been here a long time and weve got nothing. Honestly time for MDA and Morey to go and for us to start a chapter where we're not chucking threes and lacking defense. And yes thats on Morey too because that was our philosphy way before MDA GOT HERE. Our gimmick ass offense and no D is on Morey. It doesnt bold well in the playoffs.
