This link is more helpful: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/preview2010/news/story?page=Predictions-Standings1011 Rockets average standing in the West is 7.3.
so they have the rockets ranking BEHIND the hornets and the grizzlies in the western conference rankings but ahead of them in the southwest division rankings? UHM WTF??
durvasa posted this on the ESPN site. Hopefully they will get it changed. Rockets average standings ranking is 7.3 according to their page, not 12.0. They should be slotted into the 7th seed here.
Its a mistake. Their average ratig, according to the Rockets page, is 7.3. For some reason in those standings, its at 12.0.
I have to say their Eastern Conference average seeding is almost dead on with how I see it, particularly the top 6. I have more reservations about the Celtics than most people. In the West, I can put the Lakers at #1 but need more time to consider 2-8. I think the Blazers may have some serious team chemistry problems. Maybe the Mavs too. If Al Jefferson adjusts well to the Jazz offense, they will be better than most think. Would not be surprised if the Nuggets hit a wall before Melo is traded and I doubt very much they make the playoffs regardless of when the trigger is pulled. Without seeing one second of their preseason, it's hard to say how much better the Thunder players will be after another year. How much will Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka improve? Ron Adams' leaving could loom large. Too many question marks there. I almost have to lump the Spurs in with the Mavs as a team that will win a bunch of games but has no chance to reach the Finals. I have no idea where to put the Rockets because Yao is such a huge question mark.
Wow, I just like to see how the Thunder will play this season, everybody is riding on their bandwagon, the most overrated team this season.
The blazers is still overrated, they have them at 4 and I just don't why, what make their team so special.
