He didn't ask for a trade, but he did ask for a Max Contract, and when told "no," he suggested he wants a max contract, on any team and he would go back to Orlando if he can get a max contract there :)

So no, just like passive Dwight, he did not directly ask for a trade.

    Typical passive aggressive Dwight:eek:

    KEEP SMILING DWIGHT:rolleyes:

He's not running but he wants max on a team that clearly needs more help. Not serious about winning.

Dwight Howard today said that he'd never

    Give you up.

    Let you down.

    Run around.

    Desert you.

    Make you cry.

    Say goodbye.

    Tell a lie.

    Hurt you.

Look he is still a good player when healthy but to say he is a very honest person nah that is overblown.

He is a business like most of them. He will say nice things and opt for the money or the better situation.

Dan Fegan is an *******. He really screwed over the Rockets a few years ago with Chandler Parsons, and I've never forgotten about it. This might be wholly unprofessional, but he can suck a bag of dicks for all I care.

If you're being literal, then he didn't ask for one..but like cyberx said, he's telling Houston he wants the max from them or will look for it this summer. He knows Houston wont give it to him..so what's left? Lose him for nothing? Nah, they have to trade him.

Dwight and his agent know what they're doing. They're putting it on Houston and wiping their hands clean.

getting traded now benefits the rockets more than dwight. he's an unrestricted free agent. the rockets get nothing if he leaves in free agency.

This and Fegan's comments from earlier are simply PR preparations.

We all know that the media will take any opportunity to crap on Dwight and say again "Another Dwightmare etc. etc.". Going into free agency the last thing Dwight needs is more bad PR. He needs that max contract, and I would issue the same statements loud and clear if I was Fegan or Dwight as well.

    ........

And he's probably correct. I don't think Dwight wants to leave at all, and I don't think he'd mind taking A LITTLE bit less to stay. But the writing is on the wall that the Rockets need to rebuild around Harden with a completely new supporting cast, and committing to Dwight on even a near max deal will make that rebuild near impossible. He's gotta go to move things forward.

This is simple and lines up with what Cyberx was saying.

Fegan and Howard are simply trying to save face. They care about Howard's image and rightly so. Howard does not want to go through a media parade of hate.

He has in fact NOT asked for a trade, nor has asked out of Houston and wants the media to be sure of this.

Its simple, Howard wants two things, to get paid(most important) and to win. If the Rockets can provide those two things, he's happy. If the Rockets can find a team that can provide those 2 things for him through a trade, then he's happy.

He just wants to get paid, win and save his public image as much as he can from being tarnished again. The Rockets have his consent to trade him as along as the teams fit his requirements, but he IS NOT asking for a trade and is content with staying in Houston at the same time. He wants to make sure the media knows that if he is traded its the Rockets doing, not his. The ball is on the Rockets court, and its their descision if they want to A. Pay him and keep him or B. Trade him to a team that will do so.

So basically nothing to see news breaking by Howard & Fegan making those statements, if anything it shows how serious the potential of him being traded really is, and not the other way around.

Dan Fegan is the destroyer of franchises. He targets mentally weak players and manipulate them to care only about the money. Remember he didn't want Dwight to come to Houston because he had an under the table deal with Cuban.

Dwight is lucky he is dealing with Morey. Morey won't say anything bad about him like every other GM Dwight has played for.
