Yup, because the NFL purposely chose the night of Dallas vs Utah to schedule the Cowboys game.

Mark Cuban is worse than a 6 yr. old girl telling you about what she thinks about her Barbie DVD stories. Believe me I can tolerate my niece blabbering to me while I watch basketball or football than Cuban b*tching and whining about everything that doesn't go his way. The dictionary should have Cuban's picture next to brat. I can't stand this guy!

I love Cuban and Jerry Jones. They always remind me why I hate Dallas.

Cuban is so full of **** I don't know how he can see straight.

He's comparing an NFL game, a playoff game at that, to 1 of 41 home NBA games. The NFL is going to put the biggest games in the time slot that will bring in the biggest television audience, whether it be regular season or playoffs, regardless of one NBA game.

Being a businessman he should understand this more than anyone else. That NFL game will probably generate more revenue than 10 Maverick home games (if not more). You don't sacrifice ratings to accommodate the freakin Dallas Mavericks.

I dislike Cuban as much as anyone. Can't stand him. I wonder what Dallas sports fans are saying about his comments.

Maybe Cuban doesn't realize this, but the NBA and the NFL are competitors fighting for share-of-wallet among sports enthusiasts. This complaint is like the Gap complaining Macy's put on a big sale and stole all their customers. That's what they are supposed to do.

Sorry, but I agree with Cuban. If the Texans had made the Playoffs and were going to play the same time the Rockets had a game scheduled which you have tickets for, would you still attend that game?

I know I wouldn't, so unless I can find someone to sell the tickets to who WOULDN'T be watching the football game, I am out xxx amount of money that I paid for Rockets tickets.

Wouldn't it be simple for the NFL to schedule the Playoff game at a time that does not conflict with another home team's games? It would be the sensible thing too do

How would it be the sensible thing to do? The NFL is a business and they want the largest audience possible. If they determine that time slot is going to bring in the biggest audience in relation to the other playoff games then thats what theyll schedule. They dont owe anything to the Nba, mavs, or Cuban. The only thing they're concerned about is maximizing their profits.

But why? Saturday night seems like a pretty desirable timeslot. Why take a sub-optimal timeslot, and sacrifice some viewership, to accomodate a competitor?

Perhaps the NBA can change their game to a day game. They do it all the time for the TV networks.

    playoff game > midseason game

I'd take the loss and go to a playoff game, happily.
