    I rather the Rockets hit rock bottom as fast as they can so the only other place to go is to a championship. 2010 free agency here we come. Morey has his eyes set on some big boys and I have a feeling this 1 year S#@% hole is going to set us up for something big. Real Big.

    Funny, I seem to remember something similar with a certain Rockets legend.

    not like houston hasn't done it's fair share of that

    though no way do we deserve anything like this, check Les for Indian skulls or something

    Okay but here is the thing.

    I would say the Rockets were much more unlucky after the 1986 Finals run when Sampson could not get healthy, and half the team got dismissed due to drugs. That team was legitimately on track to win a few titles as constructed.

    However, the Rockets still won a few titles after the Hellmouth opened up then, with in 10 years.

    So, maybe history is just repeating itself and we will win a back-to-back in about 8 years...
