Ernie Johnson of TNT think we will finish with the 3rd seed in the West. He thinks the Hornets will finish the 6th seed in the west. Here is his predictions:

    1. Lakers - 58-24
    2. Spurs - 57-23
    3. Rockets - 55-27 (Tiebreaker over Suns)
    4. Jazz - 54 - 28
    5. Suns - 55-27
    6. Hornets - 53 - 29
    7. Mavericks - 52 - 30
    8. Warriors - 51 - 31
    9. Nuggets - 50-32

I know Ernie is not good at predicting, but what do yall think about these predictions?

As long as we get Hornets or Jazz in the first round, I am happy.

I agree and I would rather have the winner of Dallas, SA in round 2 than face the Jazz. I think they will end up in the WCF and are a very difficult matchup for us (or anybody else for that matter).

playing the hornets could be a nightmare. no one knows how chris will play at the playoffs. whether or not, he falls due to inexperience, or risees to the next level, no one knows.

I don't know about this matchup ... Even with Landry, it'd be a tough matchup I think. It'd be nice for the rivalry between Rafer and CP3/Chandler ... But I'm a bit skeptical. CP3 is so good now ... I don't want to think what he'll do in the playoffs.

It'd be nice to have another player besides T-Mac who could create his own shot ... Hmm. Tough call.

Even if we end up 6th and NO ends up 3rd we still have a chance with a healthy team.

Hornets are hot right now, possibly...

    Lakers
    Jazz
    Hornets
    Rockets
    Suns
    Spurs
    Dallas
    Warriors

Depending on how long Gasol is out Lakers **** down.

We'd have to go 9-5 the rest of the way to get to that record. And looking at the schedule, if we beat all the teams that are out of the playoffs and lose to all the teams currently seeded, we'd end up at 55-27. Seems pretty doable, hopefully they get it done.

Any matchup in the playoffs is gonna be a nightmare for all teams involved...pick your poison.

I think his predictions are reasonable, but I'd rather face Dallas.

I don't know if NO is the right team to pray for, remember how they used to be a nightmare match for the Rockets before the winning streak? Even last year we struggled against them

honestly im not comfortable we'd beat ANY team in the playoffs. right now i think every team wants to position themselves to play us. the only teams we have a shot at is the Hornets and Mavs. we are defintely losing any other series.
