Now he did say "Tray" Young. Maybe he is speaking of some unknown prospect that EG is actually better than....

 

There's a "Yung Tray", an up and coming YouTube rapper... Ego is better than him for sure.

 

He meant some scrub named Yung - Tray.

 

Eric Gordon coming into the draft definitely would be a more valuable player than Young. He was a long-armed, low center of gravity penetrator who had a beautiful release on his jumper, if slightly unorthodox. A comparable shooter and far better defender, the only area he really lags behind Young at the same age would be his ability as a playmaker.

His athleticism was off the charts, and he was turning into a superstar as the injuries started happening. Sometimes, that’s just how it goes. Regardless, we’re not getting Trae Young, and I’m happy having Eric Gordon on the team, especially as he finds his shot going into the playoffs.

 

Trae went thru a Qudraple Overtime, not everyone experiences that, he got to do so in his first season.

Trae is a liter version of Steph. Actually, Steph wasn't as good as Trae during his rookie year. Trae has him beat there, but only time will tell if Trae will be the next full ver Steph.
