I didn't say you can't be a professional athlete because you have scoliosis, that would be silly. I didn't say it affected your skill and proficiency. I said it's worrisome because it's a major threat to injuries-- especially in a sport like basketball. You have to think about the longevity of the player, especially as he ages, with this type of condition. It's not going to go away, and injuries are bound to occur- pretty hard to avoid that even if under constant monitoring from professionals. Even Usain Bolt said, regarding his scoliosis : "It really hampered me because I got injured every year.”
no doubting Eric Gordon https://www.cbssports.com/nba/gametracker/boxscore/NBA_20171211_NO@HOU/ 9-12 FGs ....5/6 3PTs 4/4 FTs --> 27 points 'FLASH' Gordon is back No way trading my main man..not even for Lebron
At the TC, they got all these interesting pics they put up when Eric scores, Splash Gordon Flash Gordon It's fun and interesting.
I've always thought he would be a top 10 player in the league. then his body mergadied and couldn't stop breaking.
Everytime I look at EG and think, damn son that's 6moty material right there... then I take a look at Lou Williams and think, god damn. Lou Will dropped 50 tonight on the Warriors in a blowout win. He's running away with the 6moty award this year unfortunately.
Lou will had been balling this season. 22 and 5 on 41% from three. Had 50 last night. Gordon is the much better defender because he’s a lot bigger and he is very good getting to the basket and finishing. But Lou at the moment is doing everything else better so far.
Eric is frustrating to watch sometimes. He has elite athletic ability and a burst that is in the top 1%. We become that much better of a team with him staying aggressive when we have both Harden and Paul. I like EG when he is driving. Deadly.
Split that 3rd point role between EGo and Deandre Liggins. Smart is going to cost and we need to conserve resources to get that 3rd banana boat captain.
That's how he has always played when confidence in his health. Unfortunately, he has not had that confidence the most part of his career. Prior to this year, last year was the healthiest he has felt in forever.
I wouldn't consider his turnovers silly. It's not easy to drive consistently to the hoop. He has a tight handle, but being aggressive will mean the ball is going to be poked away occasionally or he'll drive into traffic. I don't see dumb passes every night. Seeing as how he's been so effective on his drives, I'll live with those kinds of turnovers.
I don't think Gordon gets the attention he deserves. Well, maybe he does. He was sixth man of the year in 2016. I have been very impressed with him.
