Disagree. Dolan is incompetent, but not usually unwilling to spend.

A better comp, IMHO, is Robert Sarver. Until Fertitta proves to us differently. Are Rockets/Toyota Center workers still being paid over the hiatus like he said they would?

Your going to have to learn from Bulls and Knicks fans brother.

Having a **** owner doesn’t mean your clowning the team or city. Knicks and Bulls fans love their team, their city, their history, but are willing to recognize their owners are absolute ****heads.

What are you talking about? The hate in this thread is only for Tilman, and Tilman alone.

Tilman is the perfect mix. He likes to intervene with trades ala WB, and is a broke ol b**** like Sarver

And since they aren't terminated, they aren't eligible for Unemployment Insurance, right?

Just sit on the shelf, little workers, but if you dare take another job, good luck working for a Fertitta property ever again.

EDIT: Per one of the tweets, it looks like Landrys workers can file for UI? But can't use accrued vacation time? Not a lawyer, certainly not a labor lawyer, but a company can tell you in a situation like this, where they're shuttered, that employees can't use vacation time during the hiatus? Seems really shortsighted.

It has nothing to do with being “broke”. He would run his businesses the same if he were the wealthiest man in the world. His business model is similar to WalMart. He is making money by cutting costs and making money on the margins.

He also strongly believes if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. It doesn’t matter if you are disabled or an emergency. He hates benefits... he wanted a player dealt because he missed too many games.

It’s a joke. I know the billionaire isn’t broke, but he handles his money like he is broke, therefor he’s a broke b****.

We should root for Tilman to pay his employees. Hopefully he loses so much money that he is forced to sell the Rockets.

The upcoming financial meltdown is going to hit service industries hard, and that's where the vast majority of Tilman's businesses are. Here's hoping he has to decide between keeping the Rockets or keeping his other businesses. Mattress Mack, it's time to take over for this cheap moron.

He probably used their wages to buy hand sanitizer to resell.

I agree, the Coronavirus is gonna bend Tilman over and use a sand paper condom. If it's as bad as predicted, I hope he has no choice. If it's true that he turned his back on his staff...what a b****.

Maybe Tilman just does not have the liquidity to pay the employees? A lot of his wealth is tied up in the Rockets and he doesn't want to sell the Rockets to pay his casino employees.
