Not only do I remember it, but it affected me personally. Toshi was my youth minister at St Vincent De Paul at the time. I was in highschool, and he was one of the ministers that mentored us. The even was devastating, I lost a hero of mine and we all lost a friend. The guy was so busy with his rotations and everything else related to becoming a doctor but damn, he found 5 hours a week for us. The nicest guy I knew. Reading that headline to this post brought me way back.
Our elevators at work will close on you, and sometimes take quite a bit of force to open back up. This will have me thinking twice about sticking my arm in to catch the door, or being leisurely getting on or off.
