He would have stabbed or strangled her, as is done with the majority of honor killings. Angry people will find ways to commit violence regardless of the laws - you have to address the root causes.

There's a trend of muslim based honor killings that go exactly like this-- the only difference is that he didn't pridefully boast about it after executing her. Honor killing is not a Muslim exclusive thing btw. Although people in East Asia, Middle East have a culture of treating their sisters and daughters like their property it's ****ed. As much as I am critical of Islam, not sure how much it has to do with the religion, there's been brutal honor killings amongst Indian Canadians in the past. From my experience it's more of a class thing rather than religion.
