Brian Ching off a Brad Davis set piece. That's the Dynamo version of Bagwell driving in Biggio.

Nothing at all bittersweet about leaving that craphole. Thank G-d they're done with Robertson. A great home field advantage but an embarrassment of a field.

    ON TO KC!O

I won't miss Robertson at all, except for how close you feel to the field from any seat in the stadium. But the field and facilities are an embarrassment, so the new stadium will be a godsend.

I like our chances against KC.

Twas a fun experience. I sat in the "red rowdy" version of the Rocket's section where people were cheering from start to finish. It was also my first soccer game. Glad we won and now on to the finals to hopefully win it all!

I was a little surprised it wasn't filled to capacity.

If this was on the weekend, i know it would be sold out. Mid week game, so that's probably why.

I've only been to a total of 6 games, including the first one vs. Colorado in 2006, though I do live in Austin.

Not sure why that matters. The stadium has been a craphole for decades. That field was an embarrassment last night. Good thing no one got seriously injured. A playoff game on national tv and we have to watch them run over the Conference USA logo, while avoiding the mud that made up the outside 10-15 yards of the pitch.

Regardless...GREAT WIN last night. KC is going to be a tough place to play and match up well against the Dynamo. Weather won't be a factor.

^ Of all stories I've read this morning on last night's game, you're the only one noticing the field.

Anyway... I said this in the TV show's thread: courtesy of the HOUSTON DYNAMO, today it is DARK AND GLOOMY IN PHILADELPHIA.

I agree. I mean sure the pitch wasn't immaculate like those at other SSStadiums and the facilities also weren't great but goodness me, some teams in MLS have had it worse and some still do.

Do you think NE Revolution fans wouldn't trade Robertson in an instant for Gillette stadium? Yeah the facilities at Gillette are newer(Concessions, locker rooms, tunnel areas, etc) but then you know come Aug/Sept, those NE Patriots gridiron lines WILL be on the field and they're not going anywhere.

Pitch wise, I'd say the Robertson pitch is in the same shape as the FC Dallas pitch at Pizza Hut Park for most of the year. (There's a time in late Spring when the pitch at PHP is immaculate but that's it imo).

Facility wise, what you see and experience at Robertson is definitely not worse and is almost on par with what one gets at RFK stadium. That's not a good thing but it could be a heckuva lot worse.

It's been a good few years at Robertson and now time to move on and continue great things at the new stadium.

No, I noticed too, but it's already understood. It didn't look great, but I'm sure people are aware that it's a college football stadium and people know the dynamo are going to some new digs next season.
