The sports are done so differently as far as building your team that it can't be compared like that. In the NBA it is all about getting that 1 superstar. In the NFL 1 superstar can't win by himself. Also the draft picks mean so much more in the NFL. Basically the 3rd round in the NFL is worth more thana 25-30 range 1st round pick in the NBA in terms of value.
NFL first round picks are much more valuable than NBA first round picks. Even the first overall pick is not that valuable in some NBA drafts.
Depends on the team and who they pick, remember the Spurs got Ginobli, Parker, and Splitter at the end of the draft. Even our own and now gone Luis Scola was a 2nd round pick.
