Lets be honest. I was hoping it was it was calf strain but it looked different.

    Discount contract to houston incoming.

I always suspected it was an Achilles injury although I didn't think it was a complete rupture. He's still favoring that leg how many days later? Yea he's not coming back this postseason. I bet we will hear about a "minor" tear in the offseason.

David Chao who I follow on twitter (MD who is pretty accurate on diagnosing injuries on tv when they happen) stated during the game that it looked like an achilles rupture. He based that off of the way Durant walked off the court after it happened...completely flat footed which is what he says happens when the achilles tears. He said when it is a calf injury it is too painful to put your foot on the ground flat and people walk tip-toed.

Who knows but was what he said...

That turned out to be wrong, but I also read he risks a real achilles rupture if he comes back too early.

To be fair, the soleus portion of the calf muscle extends to that part of the leg as well.

Reggie Miller called it when it happened.

He said no doubt an achilles injury, because of the way he looked back like someone had kicked him. Apparently that is the sensation.

Well according to reports he is practicing today and might play tomorrow. So much for the Achilles injury theory.

Durant would love it in Houston. He and Harden would score 90+ per game. With less movement, both guys would extend their careers - less injury.

Could you imagine KD here? He’d be “cold as ice”
