    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ficed-build-golden-state-warriors-dynasty-nba

"With two years and $36 million remaining on his deal, Green is eligible for a three-year, $72 million extension, which would start in 2020-21.

According to league sources, Green will turn the extension down when it's offered. That's because if he earns MVP, Defensive Player of the Year or All-NBA Team honors next season, he will be eligible for a super-max contract of five years, $226 million."

    Hopefully this is true.
It is the best chance to end the Warriors dynasty prematurely since it will be impossible to pay all the core.

He is underpaid for what he brings.

He should goto Chicago and take Jerry Springer's spot

Good for him. Hate the guy but respect the hustle. Guy's like this deserve that max.

Anxious to see who GSW decide to keep between Klay and Green.

Draymond Green isn't nearly as valuable elsewhere.

But their defense falls apart without him, he's crazy good. The more you see him, the more you appreciate it. Definitely more important to that team than Thompson.

    Still can't stand the b**ch.

Please take note that this is the SUPERmax not the max.
Approximately the max is 30 per year and the supermax is about 40 million per year.

What teams could give Draymond a super max if he wants one?

Only the team that drafted the player or traded for him in his rookie contract can do it.

However he has a good case for blackmailing.
Can they afford to lose him?

Green is probably worth the Max.

I could see him on a team with a Westbrook and some shooters.

They would do quite well and contend.

    He is a winner.

I would actually love to see Donkey on a team where he is not surrounded by offensive minded players like Stephanie, Klay, and pseudo-tough. If he is your main threat on offense, your team will be near the bottom in offense.

hes been struggling to hit even wide open shots teams give him. he just fits in great for what GS does and thats good for him but in the above scenario that's just a disaster. he'd also fit in well with other teams that have established offensive threats but him as a priority on offense, you're setting your team up for failure

I remember when Ariza first came here (and only stayed for a season before leaving). He was a great role player, especially on the Lakers team that won a chip but then he came here and tried to be a superstar - that season, IIRC, did not end well for him or Rocket fans. I foresee a similar thing playing out for Donkey if he leaves GS and has to be the "man" for his new team. Maybe he will get hurt like Chandler Parsons and never be the same guy again - we can only hope...

He needs his big payday and he should rightfully go for it. It is likely his last and only time for a huge contract.

Imo he is the type to decline drastically and quickly. He has always seemed like the most logical “1st guy out” in terms of gsw max players.

If he receives, not just a supermax, but a full 4-5 year max; I believe he will be an anchor contract by year 3-5.

Let's all agree that Draymond Green is a canker sore. I haven't seen him kick anyone's junk for a while, just as I haven't seen CP3's horrific flailing flops for a while either (which at least didn't get anyone hurt), so I'll be fair on that point. But the dude argues everything, stares down the refs, doesn't know how to shut up......basically, he's a gigantic punk. Which one would expect, given that he's a GSW.

That being said, if he were our power forward (complete hypothetical), we would kick A. Defense, assists, hustle.

Of course, D'Antoni would probably bench him if he didn't get his 3 point shooting percentage up.

It just boggled my mind how much arguing he does with the refs and gets away with it. And he would be arguing calls that were pretty clear-cut against him. I am like dude wtf - why are you arguing so much?
