So since it's the offseason I guess this is threadworthy... Today, Slovenia had its first preparation game for the European Championship 2011. In it, I had a chance to observe Goran for a good 20 minutes and I must say, even though it was just a preparation game against an inferior team, Goran was impressive, he led the game in scoring with 18 points (he was 5/9 from the field with 2/4 from deep and connected on every one of his 6 free throws) he played excellent defense which resulted in 3 steals. To me he looked like he had bulked up a bit and as if he was very well prepared. He seemed happy to play along with his brother Zoran who also started the game and finished it with 10 points. The highlight of the game was definitely when Zoran came up with a steal which ended up in Goran's hands, who then went coast to cast through several defenders for a behind the back right handed layup. He also had an incredible circus shot in the first half, which I find hard to describe. So anyways, I hope you find this informative...
I've been wondering for a while now if Goran was actually going to wind up a shooting guard in the NBA. He is a very accomplished scorer.

All the respect in the world for slovenia b ball team, that's great news can't wait to see this kid play with our 7ft draft pick the don!
Thanks for the update. Good stuff! Goran Zoran Good thing they have more creativity on the court than their parents did with names.
Zoran and Goran aren't twins although they look a lot alike, they also share that scrappy mentality that we've all seen from Goran in the Nba. I know another pair of brothers who are also named Goran and Zoran so I guess that's kind of common here in Slovenia. 4 more hours 'til the game against Macedonia, I'm pretty sure a stream will be available at a Slovene website so I'll be sure to post the link here once it starts
Dragic looks good out there. He can run the fast break extremely well on every level. He does look stronger and a little bigger, which will help him on defense and possibly a little on offense with his reckless driving. Love this kid.
Dragic getting bigger is probably the one thing missing in his game, I'm not too sure if he could handle most point guards on defense last year, and he certainly would benefit from some added mass. If it doesn't cut down on his speed too much, then him bulking up has to be a great thing.
