Can anyone tell me where the closest location is to the Galleria? If there is one a little further away that isn't so crowded and wont take all day, I wouldnt mind knowing where that one s either. thanks

Classic post, bobrek! NJ, it depends on what you are trying to do. Sometimes you can do what you need to do at any Kroger store but sometimes you have to actually go to the DPS. What do you need to do?

If I were you I would go to the one at Gessner & W. Airport, even though it is not the closest one to the Galleria. Each and every time I have used that one, regardless of what it was for, I never spent more than 10 minutes in line. Now the one at the 290/610 split.....NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
It is a heck of a drive, but if you plan on going to Galveston (or other points South) in the near future, go to the Texas City DPS office. I go there every time I need to do DL stuff and I have never had more than three people in line in front of me.

Closest one to the Galleria is probably on Highway 290 and Dacoma/Mangum (basically 610/290). About 5-10 mins up 610 from the Galleria. EDIT: Didnt' see JV's post ....sorry
