If you b**** and whine in the Game Thead and can't form a line to eat crow after the win, you can't handle your own premature criticism.

I feel like I need to be more involved I'm game thread. I don't travel those because it seems to be full of idiocy and I'd rather watch the game more intently rather than debate. Maybe I'll give it a try tonight @DonKnock

Im with you. I criticize rockets too when i think its warranted but i wont mindlessly take out my frustration on their leader when things arent going well by saying dumb emotional blanket statements like "harden is the most coddled superstar ever" lol

Serious question, has the level of cussing in the game thread risen dramatically this year. Or did that start last year. Reddit luvs to cuss, so I thought maybe we had an influx of kids from reddit, who never knew there was a real fan site, but brought their neggable habits here.

Oh for the days of the Game Chat with the Rockets2K bot who would throw you out for cussing. Although dealing with pages is a pain vs a rolling chat, I guess the Game Thread here really helps Clutch with ad revenue, and it's a great place to put game vids and tweets that you can't do in IRC. So, after a few years of rebelling against it, I'm all in now.

 

I agree. Basketball is tougher to define and understand. It is so much more about pace and rythym than football. It requires more of a holistic perspective.

Its easier to verbalize and communicate whats each player is doing and what is happening on a football play.

You can understand football with analysis but you need to understand basketball with synthesis.

Football is for engineers and Basketball is for musicians.
