Watching how adamantly Mark Jones kept emphasizing “So far, Harden IS the front runner for MVP” during the ABC pregame court side broadcast makes me think he peeped in this thread before the game.

 

Last year was inexplicable and already looking like a mistake to all involved. Nevertheless, a couple of extenuating factors that supported the ABH (Anyone But Harden) crowd are nonexistent this year. When it came to the W-L argument between Westbrook and Harden, it hurt having not just the Warriors but also the Spurs clearly in front. Of all things, Kawhi being another example of the “best player on the best team”, exempting the warriors, clearly took a lot of votes away from Harden. Although his stats were worse and San Antonio did just as well in the ten games Kawhi sat as when he played, Kawhi was like the Ross Perot to George HW Bush, stealing enough votes to allow Russ to win.

 

Doris burke is a complete bish. She always leaves harden out.

The other day she said the best players at finishing on a fast break are lebron, westbrook, and irving.

Let's be honest, they are saying this because Harden lost two games to the Lakers and Clippers, despite scoring 51 points in both games.

Forget that they voted for Westbrook last year despite averaging a triple double in losses because "he had no help", but Harden scoring 51 in losses is all his fault.

Forget that the Cavs have lost to both Orlando and Atlanta, who each have worse records than the Lakers and Clippers.

Forget that Harden beat LeBron without CP3. Harden had a triple double that game.

Forget it. Harden will never win MVP. They will always find an excuse to give it to someone else. There is nothing he can do about it.

 

Once Isaiah Thomas returns next week Lebrons numbers will fall back to earth.

Based on how well LeBron and the Cavs have been playing, I fail to see why her take is controversial.

Harden is obviously up there but it's not like there is some big gap. It's close and I have no problem with either being considered right now.
