Lots of Brock hate, but hot damn that Fuller drop, inexcusable drop, really took the wind out of the Texan's sails.

Don't get me wrong, Brock is hideous and should never start for us again, but Fuller should be vilified as well for that pathetic display.

Nobody is letting him off the hook.

Fuller had a good few games to start the season and then became a total non-factor. He seemed to have a drop every game and despite being good at tracking the deep ball, he struggled to bring them in because of hands issues. He can't get off the line of scrimmage against press coverage and doesn't have the agility to make quick moves to shake defenders.

Hopefully he gets a little stronger to deal with the press and learns better catching technique. Year 1 of the new wide receiver corps was a total bust.

BOB certainly let him off the hook based on his comments after the game

Osweiler also a became a non factor after a few games.

Hard to judge him with a bottom 3 offense in the league

You really have to blame the play calling and the QB. Sure it was a perfectly thrown pass and Fuller was wide open, but the team has to know that baby hands can't catch those passes and they have to call those kinds of plays for someone, anyone else.

And even with a terrible offense, worst QB in the league, and missing time due to injury still had 600+ yards and made an impact on special teams. That's very solid for a rookie.

Agree with everything but the bolded part. He isn't shifty, but he's plenty fast and everything he does is at 100mph. We just didn't get to see much of it this season because the QB couldn't find him, he was injured, or he dropped passes.

He should also be the FT punt returner.

Or how about the fair catch with all kinds of open space?

This is why I wanted Josh Doctson

Man your account should be deleted for this thread. Fuller is a rookie who had drop problems in college so we knew this was possible.

A bust, but I have no idea how you judge skill position guys with this QB throwing them the ball.

Don't forget CJ had a few drops as well. One for a TD

Very true. He had at least 2 really bad drops that killed drives and one of those would have been a TD.

Some people are ruling out a TE because they are high on CJ. He is not a difference maker and don't put fear in no teams. I think TE should be high on our list.

I disagree, CJ is absolutely a difference maker not only in the pass game but in the run game as well......but that doesn't mean that he didn't screw up. With Griffin as a free agent and only Stephen Anderson (who is really more of a big WR than a TE) behind him, I could see picking up a TE, but there are far more pressing issues than a 2nd TE.

Wow. Your showing a lot of faith in CJ. He's a very solid number 2 TE but not a true number 1. He's slow not only in speed but also in his route running he gets no separation. Another major point is "red area" he is not a major factor down in the red area which is a double edge sword for a TE if your going to be slow at everything at least be a factor in the red area which he's not. He is a very excellent blocker in all facets though. I never said it was a major issue but it is a position that shouldn't be ignored.

I just flatly disagree with that, honestly for most of the season he was the receiving target who most often got separation and got open. As to the "red area", they didn't really draw up that many plays for the TE's, but Fiedorowicz still led the team in TD receptions.
