Mavs defense is going to be something special, Smith, Doncic, Dirk...hoepfully they sign Cousins or Dwight.
I'm sorry did I miss the part that Clint Capela is now an UNrestricted free agent? Or aresome on here not getting that Morey will match anything for Clint because our window is pretty much between now and 2020-2021?
I don't even have a problem with Trae Young to Atlanta, he was my #4 prospect and has the highest offensive upside in the entire draft. lol kings
How about the 1985 Draft. One of the deeper draft in the History of the NBA Guys that were drafted after #5 JON CONTRACTS: #7 Chris Mullin- HOF #13 KARL MALONE-HOF #18 JOE DUMAR-HOF Other players: Detlef Schremp, Charles Oakley, AC I don't do p*rn star green, Terry Porter, Manute BOL!!! HOT ROD WILLIAMS, SPUD Webb, MARIO ELIE
If Rox match it blows up the entire plan. This pick is guaranteed at least and cheap for several years allowing them to chase some vet FAs to add to Booker and Ayton.
Very mixed feelings about this. On one hand, Dončić will probably start all 82 games at 3 with Barnes at 4, or at 2 if Matthews is traded. He won't have to carry offensive load by himself as he has a very dynamic guard as a teammate in Dennis Smith Jr. On other hand, Luka is a very creative player who loves freedom with his game and is going to play under one of most restrictive and micromanaging coaches in the league. Overall, I think it's a positive outcome, but not without reservations.
This guy was getting destroyed by college players that will be future Accountants and Sales man. Imagine what it will be like against NBA players. He couldn't stay in front of these Future CPA and MBA. He looked like Ryno against Curry
Not sure where this myth of Doncic being a horrible defender is coming from. He's actually quite a bit better than Harden on that end.
To be fair, for everything he gave up on defense, he more than made up for it on offense. The man averaged 30 a game and lead the NCAA in assists as a FRESHMAN, he'll be an offensive phenom even if his defense is shane larkin bad.
6' 8" with a meh wingspan (4 inches longer than height is the NBA average btw) and suspect lateral quickness? I can see where the defensive issues could come from.
It sounded like that's what you were implying in your post putting him next to Dirk. Correct me if I'm wrong of course.
I mean, Dirk might literally be the worst defender in the league, of course i'm not comparing Doncic to him (and same for Smith), what i'm saying is that their team defense considering those players is going to be bad overall, possibly really bad, especially if they'll sign Cousins instead of a player like Capela.
That is what they said about curry.... this dude is going to be the best player in this draft. Luca is going to be a bust. Book it.
