Does Harden have the potential to be better than T-Mac in his prime?

One thing T-Mac will forever have on Harden is his handle and his ability to shoot over anyone, especially his handle. It's really amazing how T-Mac could turn over the ball so little considering his height, how much he handled the ball and the players around him.

just curious, how many ppl still think this? I think its obvious, harden should be a number two guy. he'll never be as good as tmac in his prime.

When you can count the number of guys better than him on one hand, hes not a number 2 guy.

    Huh?

Your #1 better be LeBron or Durant then..... Harden is one of the 5-6 best players in the NBA.

i dont think he will be the consistent scorer tmac was, although harden is more well rounded of a basketball player than tmac was. id still take tmac over harden, but harden is still getting better. so only time will tell

    Let's not forget Tmac's defense.

I think Harden's ability to get to the line surpasses McGrady. On nights when McGrady shot 5/14 he would finish the game with 20 points. Harden can still score 30 because he gets to the line 15 times.

T-Mac was a better defender than Harden. Sometimes he would exert all his energy on offense (no one else could score) and play lackluster defense. Harden does the same thing, but Tracy's 7-2 wingspan helped him get away with being lazy on defense. He would shut down the other team's best player when his number was called to defend the final shot of the game.

We are not even in the 2nd round with Tmac...

In fact, we probably are playing the Jazz as the 4th seed with Tmac and losing to the Jazz AGAIN in the first round.

The league is trash now. Tmac went against real competition. Prime Tim Duncan,Tony Parker and Ginobili against Tmac's cast which was Clarence Weatherspoon, Rod STrockland, Juwan Howard, Padgett, Ryan Bowen, David Welsley, Jim Jackson, Rafer Alston.

Tmac was always surrounded by trash unfortunately and gave us 55 win seasons against one of the hardest eras in the nba.

and an overrated Yao Ming who was a liability in transition Defense, half-court defense against smaller quicker players like howard, boozer, and an overrated post game. If TMAC played with this squad! with a player like capela who could actually roll...

lol, its cuz this is the weakest NBA i've ever watched, just cuz the supply and demand is low and someone can put up stats, doesn't make them a superstar.
