    I mean really...

We have to take an entire week off from watching basketball.

    For what exactly?

To watch the same tired events they’ve been doing for 30 years. The best thing about the All-Star weekend is the 3-point contest and that takes all of an hour to do.

The actual game itself is boring. The dunk contest is boring. All the other events are boring.

Can they just scrap this thing already?

Or hell, put it after the season ends like the pro-bowl. There’s nothing good about it.

Well, maybe kids like it. That’s the only thing I can imagine. After you’ve been watching All-Star games for a couple of decades though, the weekend has completely lost its luster.

You have GROWN TO HATE all-star weekend?

    #metoo

As bad as the Pro Bowl; no use to it or for it. No, not even tweaks saved the Pro Bowl (and probably won't save the NBA either). Hey, NFL once eliminated conferences too!

Players getting a week off though? I don't mind it.

I hate them with a passion.
Just give the players credit for making 1st team, 2nd team and 3rd team in NFL, MLB and NBA.

Guys that don’t make it cry like babies for being snubbed.
Players like Jimmy Butler don’t want to play. Could have given the spot to a CP3 or Lou Williams.
Dunk contest usually resort to props because every dunk has been performed in the past.
    Skills contest is lame.
The only thing I watched was the 3-point contest. Once Eric Gordon was out.....I turned it off.

I don’t even understand the “players need time off!” part of it either.

With the new scheduling and coaches resting guys, it seems like the players have adequate rest already.

Why do we as fans have to go without games for an entire week?

I firmly believe the time off is good for the players mentally and physically.

Alright Kevin McHale. Let’s calm down.

Yes they definitely need more time to get completely wasted and bang instagram models.

    I know I would. :D

Ratings wise, how has the game done over the years? I'm just curious to see if it's something that the casual fan actually watches.

Let’s take away the playoffs too while we are at it. Whoever has the best record at the end of the year is the champion.

I like an idea thrown around last year.

Have them play dodge ball. Or obstacle course-American ninja thing.

Did anyone catch the “talent” show? It was terrible but the funniest part was Ernie shaq chuck Kenny and snoop making fun of the players. Dwight was the last guy and his talent was impersonations. It was so brutal the dude has to be the biggest ham in all of sports. They were bagging on him pretty hard it was hilarious. Shaq folded up his 10 point scoring card so it only showed the zero and gave him no points.

It is needed for the friends to get together and make new all-star friends so you can play with their friends on their team, as we are in the NBA era of playing with friends.
