Do you think the 2016 MVP race will be as close as last years race was?

Mark my words, it will be Anthony Davis. Or Harden, LerBon, Curry, Lin, Durant. If not someone else.

I'm never wrong.

 

This may sound ridiculous, but I honestly think Kawhi might be in the mix as well.

 

I think LMA will be the more likely candidate for the Spurs

It'll be between LeBron, Harden and Anthony Davis I think.

 

Davis will only be in it if he puts up GOAT numbers (28ppg, 13rpg and 3bpg) and if the Pelicans get a top 4 seed out West. First part may happen but I don't see the Pelicans winning more than 50 games and getting a 7 seed.

Personally, I see it coming down to LeBron, KD and Harden. I think Curry-fever is starting to cool down and I don't think he'll have as good a season as last year.

 

I think LeBron wins the MVP next year by a sizable margin. I hope I'm wrong, but I just think he is going to dominate, more so than usual, next season.

My money will be on Davis. He's the future of the NBA, they have to start promoting him and making him a household name. What other way then to give him the MVP award.

 

Media put out 4 guys but it was really a 2-player race.

LeBron is the one constant. No doubt he'll be right there again, if not winning it.

Guessing 2 of Curry, Harden, Westbrook won't be in the top 4.

Davis will only ascend. Durant will be in the mix. Chris Paul will always get votes.

3 Spurs listed there [Aldridge obviously with Portland last year] but none will win it.

 

Curry is likely not going to win the MVP again. People generally do not vote the same person again after his last year award, specially if the race is close. Right now, no one knows.

 

Are you saying he won't win the award [again] because he won last year?

Unless your name is Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Ducan, Steve Nash, or LeBron James.

I wouldn't count on Curry winning again but not because he won the award last year.

 

Everyone healthy, it's going to be even better than this year.

 

Nope, Harden will be the clear-cut winner this time.

 

If this is the case, the media will undoubtably do what they did last year and spin every possible thing Lebron's way.

 

..watch the media say something along the lines of Harden doesn't deserve to win the MVP, because he now has a top-flight PG as his running mate and X-player has had to do so much more than Harden, which is why X-player deserves the award over Harden.

 

All those guys are legends. Do you put Curry on that level?

I think people will defend him differently this coming year and he'll go through a slump. If he can handle a slump and return to the level of play all year last year, then maybe he is a legend. I just don't see it. All those players above did things at an elite level other than shooting threes. Unless Curry becomes an elite passer (think 12-15 assists per game), I think the shooting comes and goes... just like his status.
