Lakers coach Mike Brown got fired today. Reports are that Lakers have already reached out to Phil Jackson and Mike D'Antoni.

Do we need to hire MDA before Lakers get to him?

What makes you think he'll take the the Rockets job over Lakers just because we get to him quicker?

I wish we did my man, but Houston have a good track record on coaches. They are not treated like assets (the players).

31-5 yes votes? Am I living in the twilight zone? No - wait - it's just knee jerk time. The GARM front page is a mess right now.

D'Antoni could certainly run a run and gun team. That's about where the positives end.

MDA's not running the Princeton. He's not that type of coach. Plus Lakers will want Phil Jackson. MDA is just a backup for them. If we give him the right amount of money, we certainly have a chance.

Better question, do we really need another fire McHale thread?

Knee reaction. Its only been 6 games into the season and we have a young team. Also, I think management wants Finch groomed to be the next head coach?

Yes. Let's at least lose games while scoring a lot of points.

Knee jerk if if this really was his first 5 games. He was here last year last time I checked. Many of CF wanted him gone since then.

It's a totally different squad then from last year, hell its even much different since preseason. He may not be making the greatest adjustments, but lately people have brought out the pitchforks because a few rookies aren't getting pt. Personally, I don't think there is a higher probability that the rookies break out than there is for one of the 2nd year guys too.

Something to remember, were JVG and RA fired in the middle of their contracts?

We should totally do this. Even if we're still bad, at least we'll be fun to watch. This is just getting disgusting the way McHale is so clueless.

Honestly, who say's Rockets FA can't bend some rule. Rudy T, JVG, RA are well respected coaches. Mchale is a newb and shouldn't be given the same treatment just because he was great Celtic. MJ is doing a mighty fine job for the Bobcats. He's the best player ever.

I usually tune out these reactionary COACH URGH FIRE COACH threads, but one important consideration is that Jeremy Lin did in fact thrive in D'Antoni's system while in New York.

It has to be thought about, at least.
