The reason I'm asking this is because it's really a part of a bygone era... You know, the Big Three days, the back-to-back champions, the winning season after winning season after winning season... Now the Rockets are entering a new era led by Steve. Should the Rockets ditch the old "U Got 2 Know" and go with something newer for their new team? Or should they keep it as their 'anthem' so to speak? ------------------ WE WILL WATCH THEM FALL.
they defintely need a new theme song its getting old just like its players that were part of those championship eras. the intros need some tinkering too. Im getting sick of hearing, "Are you ready Houston, On your your feet and prepare for Rockets liftoff..etc." A new era has begin so change it!
not sure about the theme song, but here's a Drexler comment about the uniforms: In response to a question about his number being retired, he reponds, "They better retire my number in the old uniform, not in that new red and blue thing they have." Can you image a 10'x4' Metallica-album cover hanging next to Rudy, Moses and Calvin in classic red and rocket's yellow?11
Forget the theme song, do something about the uni's...yuck. I can't begin to imagine why they haven't changed those things yet. With a decent design, Steve Francis #3 could probably contend as the highest selling uni in the States. ------------------ "Sources tell me that the Blazers held a team meeting after the two losses..." - "Pistol" Pete Vescey with the inside scoop. Speaking of the theme song, where can I get a MP3 of it? Can anyone help? ------------------ RKMAN "There's a new expansion football team?? At least they won't cut me." -Ed Gray
First off, they need to quit turning the lights off for intros......that is so stupid. Then they need to not play any music, either, and right when they announce the last guy's name, that's when they bust in to "Rock it" by Herbie Hancock, just like the old days.
I found a site that has it . Its a wav file. http://members.tripod.com/~jack0204/Houston_Rockets.html
I have a feeling the Rockets will stick to the same tired intro song until they get a new arena deal. Old School
