It's almost comical that they try and paint it that way, when in fact he keeps bludgeoning them because the conference is so aggressively poor, not the other way around. Going out west is the last f**king thing any sane person would do to find an easier path.

Mediocrity is rewarded out East. Teams like the Celtics, Raptors and Hawks, who would be fringe playoff teams out west, get to win 50 games and advance in the postseason. And because they win and advance, it just feeds the delusion that they are actually close to meaningful winning. They aren't one or 2 moves away, they are still light years away. Not to mention train wrecks like the Magic, Knicks and Pistons who seem to always make the stupidest choice possible.

Out west if you don't get good, really f**king good, you ain't winning s**t.

Right. The east has been the least for awhile now. In fact, lebron is the only thing that made the east relevant at all. Who remembers the dreadful eastern conference playoff series that would lead to a Jason Kidd mets team getting spanked? Or lebron dominating the east under mike brown surrounded by scrubs to go get spanked?

The east has just been wrecked by:
    1) years of poor gms that haven't adapted as time went by
    2) bad luck when they do get top picks

There are always a couple of good teams in the east but for the most part the reason the west is better is because the depth of smart basketball minds is way deeper. Better front offices, better coaches and much better luck.

Oh, when mentioning train wrecks I forgot the Nets. Prokorhov(?) came in and proceeded to make a series of the stupidest damn moves I have ever seen in my entire life. Now they are dog s**t, and no picks to show for their s**tiness.

Bad front offices, it's constant. We're approaching 20 seasons now. A whole generation of players has come and gone, and it hasn't changed, or even gotten closer, the gap only seems to be widening. It's very aggravating that the path through one conference is always so damn easy for LeBron.

I heard the deadline To sign up for the eastern conference men's league 18-35 ends in august but if you have a couple guys pay up front they don't mind if the rest of your team registers a little late.

Time to do away with the East vs West...it clear that the West has better competition...and shitty teams from the East dont need to get an easy pass to the playoffs. Seed the teams 1-16 and let them compete. It would make for a better playoffs and more interesting matchups...

Conferences come down to revenue. As long as there's money in basketball cities (new York, Boston, Toronto, dc) the NBA will keep conferences and pray those teams make the playoffs.

Conferences come down to the fact East teams have easier paths to the playoffs and owners in the East will vote to keep it that way.

At this point we need to have two seperate but unequal leagues. Call the eastern conference the aba and be done with it. They can trade and play against eac other but there will be nba champs determined by the wcf and the aba champs determined by the ecf. Nothing beyond east and west finals.
