Not sure how a French sauce makes you a commie. A ****** socialist, maybe?

I've been doing the combo Mayo/Ketchup for over a few decades. The Mayo or Mayo mix is common in Latin America, it's delicious!

I also mix mayo and hot sauce (Tapatio, etc) when I have HEBs salmon patties...

On a side note, I also dip my chips in ranch dressing...

I used to get hell for that back when I ate garbage day in and day out. (Funny that I never got hell for eating garbage though.) But it's a great combo, IMO.

One of the keys is that the fries MUST be warm. If the fries are cold, it's a no-go. The other key is that the fries MUST be thick--preferably with some skin showing. (Putting mayo on something like an In-N-Out Burger fry would be gross.)

In short, it's all in the fries. If you've had a bad experience with mayo and french fries, you're doing it wrong.

One other thing: Hellman's is gross.

Have you had the Tex Cajun Fries at BB's? a Tex-Orleans take on Poutine. To me, the best fries in town, topped with cajun roast beef, queso and cajun gravy.

I used to love dipping McDonald's fries in their hot mustard sauce. Still pissed they discontinued it.

I'm not an expert, but I've repeatedly seen it said that the key to poutine is to get it from kitchen to stomach as soon as possible. Once that gravy hits the fries, they start turning to mush. Crisp, crunchy fries is apparently key to a good experience.

Not a huge plain brown gravy fan so I'm not itching to try it.

I guess all these things depend on ingredients, no? Mayo included... I like poutine to a lesser degree than chicken fried steak, but in kinda the same way. These things can happen when you move a Texan to Vermont for 30 years. Can't get any decent chicken fried steak anywhere in this part of the country, that's for sure. The closest thing is the "country fried steak" but yeah no...

So naturally I'm glad to see our staties repped in the ST vid <3 Also our stoners.

yeah those fries are really really good. I tried them after you posted something about them a year or two ago in another thread. I mean, I did feel like dogshit after I ate them but they tasted fantastic.

Well, that's just ******* stupid, but it's fair enough. Glad you got repped. Chicken fried steak is the easiest thing in the world to cook, as long as you can cook it right.

I can't explain my cousin who's lived in Burlington for a couple of decades, and is a hardcore Polo player now.
