No. The Spurs had the "better team", but the Thunder had the two best players in the series, both of whom were able to elevate their game to a level nobody on the Spurs could match.
On paper they were destined to get knocked out by GSW. Shocking upset, but the inevitable was going to happen in the conference finals anyway.
No, honestly man their old big 3 just isn't going to do it any more. I think we can finally say it, they are old. They have to replace Parker and Duncan, Manu has been replaceable for years now though.
Wow, only two votes including me for kill yo'self??? Come on, can't we be like reddit or 4chan lee's or something. Be adventurous for once!
no choke job. however, i do think game 1 altered the spurs. things were exposed. Pop was exposed and out coached. Spurs just didnt have the personnel.
One tiny problem. Rebounds . TDlooked like a fossil out there. Just a bunch of athletic scrubs to out rebound them and you just tire them out. They were built to beat GS this year and would have , but Aldridge without splitter mass the that much more vulnerable me to OKC. They didn't think they ever had to worry about OKC again and West and Aldridge gave them the shooting power to beat OKC. That's why POP has been so irritated.
they don't have a center, that was the problem. watching diaw, duncan trying to rebound now a days is hilarious.
Combo of the Spurs running out of gas and OKC finding them selves. freak athlete superstars like KD/Westbrook and OKC's physical front court in Adams/Kanter/Ibaka was just too much for the Spurs to handle at this point. Spurs will be good though, they just need to start building around Leonard/Aldridge.
Yup exactly, I think it became obvious after the first 3 games. The spurs had so much shooting power and it was clear all their moves were to play chess with GS....but they just couldn't get bodies download. The strength of West and Aldridge is also their biggest weakness against OKC. The two of them don't like playing in the post. Funny thing is, if they just had splitter he would have been enough. I can't believe Barkley was right on the money. The dude said OKC's bigs would be too much and everybody called him a dumbass.
It looks like they were missing elite driving game they use to get from Parker and Ginobili. Didn't help they weren't shooting well from the outside to open things up for drive and kicks, but ball movement dies when the defense doesn't need to rotate. Basically the Thunder made Aldridge and Leonard into contested mid-range shooters.
You do realize this is a game of matchups correct? How can you arbitrarily stick a "10 wins" label and not make yourself to sound stupid? By that logic the east has "choked" against the west a number of times. larsv8, I really think you should step back and evaluate your black and white posting.
