I don't pop in here much, but it is weird to see a bunch of Houston fans take a dump on their rookie QB after he helps get them a W, whilst showing some good instincts in a terrible situation.

    Weird bunch of people...

He obviously can't throw as good as Savage, and Savage had the same awful O Line. Both would have developed with more time as an NFL starter. Savage never got much of a chance other than training camp, and never will, unless Watson tears an ACL or something running around trying to escape pressure. Unfortunately, neither was put in a good situation, with an awful O Line, and a "Handle with Care" group of players, and not many key starters left. Every week we lose another starter. I sure hope things turn around soon. Hey, at least we got a win!!

I have confidence in DW. He will become a good if not great NFL QB. It may take a season or two. Carr in Oakland didn't look all that great the first year. Bilichick said DW can make all the throws. Was he just blowing smoke?

DW is not an nfl qb, but Jerod Goff is. Texans have really really screwed up.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but lets assume your serious and let's go back to 2016.

Jared Goff had passing games of....

134,135, 90, 120.... he threw about 50% in those games

Why don't you give Deshaun some time?

Dude, I've lived through so many qbs like this guy. VY, RGIII, Collin Kap, JAMARCUS RUSSELL. You have to be able to throw from the pocket.
He isn't going to be: Donovan Mcnabb, Randall Cunningham, Mike Vick or Steve Mcnair. He just isn't.

He doesn't have to be any of those guys. He just has to be Deshaun Watson.

I don't yet know that DW isn't an NFL QB but I do know that both of these teams' offenses look far better than anything the Texans have fielded since peak Schaub.

They look good because they are both terrible teams. Trust me, Goff and Hoyer are not the new cream of NFL QBs.

They definitely are not. They do both have great young offensive minds putting them in position to succeed though. It shouldn't look as hard as it does for us the majority of the time. Starts up top

You think Vick became a pocket passer? He definitely had the ability but never was consistent.

If you are going to single out black quarterbacks, Wilson is already the best passer and best period.

He is everything Vick could have been.

Wilson is the only quarterback with 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in the same game.

He and Aaron Rogers have the two highest career passer ratings.

Vick's career is a disappointment and Wilson's raw talent is severely underrated. Like the best mobile quarterbacks he scrambles to pass

    Edit: true greatness includes consistency

Aren't you a Titans fan or something...

And what the hell does Jared Goff have to do with Deshaun Watson?

Tough call. Russ has been on a lot better teams than Vick. That guy was a once in a generation type weapon.

Its a shame football fans don't recognize how good Wilson is. Unfortunately he sounds too much like Carlton for black fans.(im being dead serious)

On qb rating the nfl should find a way to adjust for time period. Steve Young and Montana are the oldest in the top 20. The only other black qb in the top 20 is Daunte Culpepper who really did start out like gangbusters
