I'll say this, if Savage is doing well and Watson does end up sitting a full season, he is going to be an absolute monster come next season. Not even Savage will be able to stop him then.
Wrongo, he was at practice last week and said: "Deshaun's not ready. Being out at that practice, it's just... you know, completions are not where they need to be. On air. I'm talking about just on air, no pads, no defenders. It's just ball placement. A lot of throws are going high, a lot of sailed throws. That was his problem in college, too. Just a lot of sailed throws on simple slants. He just needs to keep working on it. It looked like he's not striding as long, I'm sure the coaches will get with him on that stride length and try to tighten that up."
I guess there is no such thing as Free Camp. Lol Deshaun Watson holding football camp in Clemson in July CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -- Deshaun Watson announced Monday that he is holding a football clinic in Clemson in July. Watson posted on his Instagram page that registration is now open for the camp, which will take place on July 22 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Players of all positions, ages six through 16 are welcome. The cost is $100 for the four hour clinic. For more information on the camp and to register, click here.Deshaun Watson ESM Football Camp July 22 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
F***, if i was a pro athlete I wouldn't make any of my camps free. Luckily I'm just a semi pro athlete () but I still don't want the entire hood to show up at my camp and turn it into 3rd ward version 2.0 ya know!
In my experience, free events are usually not worth it. Idk about $100 for 4 hours, but there has to be a vetting process to make something worthwhile, and money is probably the easiest way to do it.
MVP talk now? Texans fans going to have their expectations so falsely inflated. These are the guys below Watson... In fairness Texans fans had former draft bust Teddy Bridgewater in the HOF already before he was drafted so if people are talking MVP about Watson it's a step back towards sanity.
That's true, but it was always one of the concerns he had as a prospect. In the end though, it wasn't so much that his body couldn't take the punishment of NFL hits, it ended up that his body couldn't take the punishment of a 5 step drop in practice. Either way though it doesn't really matter why a prospect busts in the end when you are stuck with them. It's a wasted pick one way or the other, in this instance more than one wasted pick because they traded up to get it.
That's certainly what some people would have had everyone believe but unfortunately we never saw any evidence of that. Anyway, doesn't matter now, his career is effectively over. Let's just hope that Watson is substance rather than just hype.
Really? Derek has 81 TDs and 31 INTs in his 47 starts. Teddy has 28 TDs and 21 INTs in his 29 starts. So in his next 18 starts Teddy needs to average 3 TDS and .5 INTs to catch up, basically tripling his production.
