What ordinary person could name a first rate orthopedic surgeon, besides Andrews? How many of them could even name A orthopedic surgeon? LOL, people just want to b**** cause the want to protect the future of this franchise. He is the only glimmer of hope weve had since 2010 and all.

In this day in age though, ACL surgeries are probably routine and most docs can get in and out in a matter of hours.

So you're saying we *shouldn't* fire the doctors? Or the trainers? Or the rehab guys?

This is a new tack for the bbs.

I think that happens pretty much everywhere, though.

That's what happens when capitalism drives healthcare. Turnover, turnover, turnover. It's sad, really.

Lowe did Clowney's first surgery... and a second was required ~2 months later that included the need for microfracture.

I would have sent him to Stedman Clinic.

I can name 10 off the top of my head, but I'm friends with a few surgeons and they talk.

How many NFL teams send their players to Houston for Lowe to operate on them?

Vikings/Buccaneers sent their QBs to James Andrews recently.

Andrews has also been trusted to work on a few other notable athletes: Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Ryan Tannehill, Bo Jackson, Bruce Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith, John Smoltz, Andyy Pettitte, Jack Nicklaus...

If it were my team or my QB or my son, James Andrews would be the first guy I talk to.

Sure, everybody wants the best, but do you really need the best when it comes to a pretty standard now-a-day practice. Im sure theres a #1 doc in removing tonsils as well, but do you need to search him/her out to remove your tonsils?

Ortho is one if the hardest specialties to get into. So if it's a younger doctor they are pretty smart. Don't know hard orthopedics was to get into back in the day. Why not just go with Andrews? He seems to be a safe choice.

Sadly, talking about Watsons choice of surgeons is more interesting than anything going on in the Texans season.

2 weeks and I'm still in denial. so this is how the 2017 in my mind.....

    alternate history:
B.o.b decides to go with Savage for the first 8 games. Savage goes 0-8 when rookie sensation is given a shot to start. Watson goes 6-1 with great situational coaching by b.o.b in the final minutes of games. Watson suffered a sprained ankle sat out the last week of the season. Texans finish 6-10, with what talking heads around the league are calling the future of the QB position. Houston rejoices.

    I like this version.

It's amazing to think of how much world history was most likely written this way.

Bobby would still be defending him for all 8 weeks claiming that Watson isn't ready to start
