    Derrick Rose hurt again.
Derrick Rose leaving the team again.
Derrick Rose should probably just retire.
    Not a champion but 1st overall pick, ROY, 3x All-Star, 1x All-NBA & MVP(that so many covet around here)

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers guard Derrick Rose has become overwhelmed by the injury process and is taking personal time to evaluate his future in the NBA, sources told ESPN.

Rose has not been with the team for the better part of a week, sources told ESPN, and it is unclear when the 2011 league MVP will return. Rose has missed 11 of the Cavs' 18 games this season, including the last seven because of a sprained left ankle.

One team source told ESPN of Rose: "He's tired of being hurt and it's taking a toll on him mentally."

Rose was last with the Cavs for Monday's 116-88 win in Detroit. According to a team spokesman, his current absence from the team is excused.

Last season, Rose went missing from the New York Knicks on a game day without permission from the organization. He was fined by the Knicks and apologized to his teammates when he returned the next day.

"That was a family issue," Rose explained at the time. "For one, it had nothing to do with the team or basketball. But that's the first time I ever felt like that emotionally, and I had to be with my family."

One week ago, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said Rose would be out "at least" the next two weeks because of his ankle injury. Rose rolled the ankle on October 20 when he landed awkwardly following a flagrant foul from then-Milwaukee Bucks big man Greg Monroe.

Cleveland put Rose in a walking boot last week in hopes of alleviating pressure on his left foot.

"Just a jacked-up ankle," Rose told ESPN at the time. "I'm just trying to figure it out, bro. Right now, it's just a jacked-up ankle. Just sore. I'm getting a lot of treatment for it, and tonight will be my first time wearing a boot. So I'll wear this, for I don't know how long, to see how it helps."

Nobody would blame him for just riding out the recovery timetable and showing up only when its the playoffs.

I mean that's what everyone expects out of him at this point.

Not surprised by this at all. Derrick Rose has serious issues that can't be suppressed for an entire season.

He'll definitely be back. No way he leaves that much money on the table.

$70 million is too much to give up.

He can host about 200,000 g*ngbang parties with that $70 million.

    We men.

This guy just doesn't get it, and never will.

Go to rehab. Collect your money. Be a professional.

When you hit 35 you can do literally whatever you want.

    Grow up.

    Not surprised.
I had been arguing the whole summer with his delusional fanboys over not signing this guy. At least he didn't manage to scam another team before he retired.
For now his brother should still convince him but I expect by next year he will retire for good.

He has made enough money to never work ever.

The cavs seem to be filled with old and washed up players. That TT deal keeps looking worse and worse.

But he's going to give up $80 millions if he retires, versus just going to rehab and sit on the bench and collect $80 millions for doing nothing.

He has a lot of homies and g*ngbang parties to host and $80 million can support a lot of Homies and g*ngbang parties

And he is getting a new shoe perfected for him every year.

If he can't all 70+ million, get at least 40.
