Wrong on thinking Denver landed the first round pick.

PORTLAND got the first round pick? Either Plumlee is much better than I thought or Nurkic is much worse than I thought.

@WojVerticalNBA: Portland gets size/strength, spares paying Plumlee extension this summer; Denver gets a good passing center to play with Jokic.

@WojVerticalNBA: RT @BobbyMarks42: Besides having 3 first rd. picks in June, POR now will likely avoid the potential of a large luxury tax for 17-18 with Plu...

I wondered how Portland was going to improve since they handed out all of those large contracts. This will give them much more ammo to work with.

What are the Nuggets doing? Nurkic and a first round Pick? For Plumlee? Seems like they want to keep up with the Hornets for the worst Plumlee Trade. Let's see if the Knicks accept the challenge as well.

Wow, Denver made a great trade and the Blazers potentially get a very good C. I like the trade for both teams.

    WTF

Nurkic is a quality big, younger, cheaper, and under contract for next season. No reason they should have had to give up a 1st to get Plumlee. Now they are gonna have to pay him, and they are one pick lighter. Some franchises just enjoy staying mediocre.

Great trade for the Blazers though.

Why is DEN giving up a 1st round pick to swap their strong European center for puny American center?

    Dumb move for Nuggets.

Portland now get cap space and not have to overpay Plummeeeeee. They already overpaid for Evans, Ezil, Crabbe, and 10 other players

    What the hell Denver.
Contract the team and reinstate the Seattle Sonics.

EDIT: Oh lmao. I was thinking about the wrong guy. Thought they traded Jokic. Makes this trade a little more believable...

LOL man, I thought Ryan Anderson was overpaid. Talk about some abysmal contract management.

On top of the 60 million they are paying Lillard and McCollum, Portland is paying Alan Crabbe and Evan Turner 36 million for the next 4 years. Those are 2 astoundingly bad contracts.

I can never tell the difference between the Zellers and the Plumlees. Two houses, both alike in dignity, motor and bball IQ.

My thoughts exactly. I thought Nurkic was a solid big with size and upside, but the more I've been reading Plumlee >> Nurkic apparently. Nurkic didn't gell with Jokic at all either, so maybe thats why. Weird trade though
