Okay, it's not a big trade but it could concern who we take at #38.

Dallas gets: Gatling, Popeye Jones, #37 is what they're trying to work out
Denver: Robert Pack, Sean Rooks, Hot Rod Williams
Dallas wants the #37 badly so they can take Mexican native Eduardo Najera. Say it ain't so, I was hoping Ed would land on a good team but maybe he help the Mavs finally get in the playoffs. Here's today news and rumors.

    NO! Not Popeye!!!
Oh wait... thats a different Popeye... [IMG]

So, Gatling is going back to Dallas. Wasn't he traded out of Dallas because he had a problem with Nellie?
If Gatling can regain the form that he had while he was playing for Dallas, it will be a great trade for the Mav's. Remember, Gatling was an All-Star one year when he was in Dallas.

I don't think Eduardo Najera will make much of an impact for the Mav's, because an impact player wouldn't fall into the 2nd round. I don't think Nellie is great at finding gems, so I wouldn't be too worry.

Thanks for the info though, SooneRockStro.

I think Najera would fit well with Dallas. They need layers like that. Gary Trent will obviously play ahead of him and so will Ced Ceballos, if he stays, but Najera would be good for a spark off the bench and a defensive stopper. But you just never know with Nellie, he may be doing some of his typical team dismantling. He bewilders me!

As long as El Hoopo is not a Rocket, I will be happy. I will be able to continue to hate him.

Hot Rod Williams is still playing? WOW
I remember when he signed that HUGE contract with the Cavs. Larry Bird was so pissed that some bum named "hot rod" was making more money than he was, every time the Celtics played the Cavs that year, it looked like Bird took the wheels off that "hot rod" [IMG]

Basically this trade is a bunch of scrubs, but since it might include the #37 I thought it was worthy of being posted. No biggie.
