Speaking objectively (I hope), what is amazing to me is that the Democrats could not or cannot see how the optics of this plays to most of America. Which is to say, most Americans are appalled by what they saw during the SCOTUS hearings (even before Kav was accused, but certainly after).

I'll be very surprised if there isn't a "red wave" in November. And that would be pretty notable, historically. Almost always, the party in the WH loses seats in Congress in the mid-terms. The only recent exception to this that I can think of is 2002.

 

You seem to love using this term. Honestly, you're the worst type of person when it comes to politics, you constantly lump people that you disagree with into large groups and tell them how terrible and awful they are even when they disagree with a lot of what their own party does. It's about as divisive and uninviting as it gets when it comes to ways to engage with people on the other side of the political aisle, but my guess is that you're not here to actually have any type of civil discussion with people that you disagree with.

Republican party invites a white supremacist hate group 9 members of whom engage in violence against protestors. This is the face of the Republican party. Racist white men. Many Republican candidates including David Nunes rub elbows with these guys and pose with pictures.
