Nothing changes a players attitude quicker than actually winning games. I'm sure if this were ever to happen Harden would be on board 2000%. We have what this team hasn't had in a decade, an alpha dog leader! The only issue I have is Harden and Cousins are both stat chasers.
I'd take him at the right price. Being successful in any aspect of life means taking risks. That's essentially what Lebron did heading back to Cleveland...Warriors took a risk on building a team of jump shooters and look how it turned out. Chances are we aren't going to win a championship without another piece. We can't just sit there and wait for it to come along. Cousins wouldn't be the absolute top choice but he would fit well here. And imagine a potential Draymond vs Cousins rivalry in the WCF....it would be Russ vs Bev on a higher level.
Clint Capela specifically exists for Morey to trade him as part of a package to get a star. This is Morey's chance to strike big while Cousins' value is perceived to be low.
I think it's unfair this guy gets labeled as a loser. His team literally had 3 elite pgs and one that's now an mvp candidate and lost all of them with NOTHING to show for. I'd be pissed off too! And I'd pout too! I'm surprised he didn't publicly trash the Queen's and ask to be traded.
Where is the other $12M+ in salary matching from the Rockets coming from? Cousins makes $17M per season... Capela and Dekker don't make $3M combined.
