In a way this playoffs , and specifically this game has to be a career altering mental event for those two . Imagine being on the team the whole year , feeling like you contribute to where you team got ... Being part of the unexpected success . And then , boom .. Don't play at all in the playoffs . Sure Dekker was hurt the first series , and nene was playing well . But vs SA , down a man .... Not getting a chance outside of garbage time . Well, this is either going to cause them to dedicate themselves to the game in the offseason like never before and come out it much improved ... Or bitterness could preside and they could become disgruntled . Obviously as rockets fans we hope it's the former ; but , we could also understand the frustration too .
Living in Minnesota I had the chance to watch Dekker a lot during college. I understand he's not near NBA starter level but he is a guy who played in a lot of big games.
