    Dear Morey:

We don't need another big man who can't make free throws. There is a world-wide talent pool out there. Can't you find a center who can actually make free throws, and is good enough to start? Search for men who have actually learned to make free throws. This is the age of hacking, so resume qualifications have changed, if you want to give ever give us a shot at the title.

Who do you suggest then? Here is a list of centers who are at 70 percent or better. Who can we possibly get that will improve the team, but also meet your standard of being a good free throw shooter.

    1 Enes Kanter
    2 Brook Lopez
    3 Jonas Valanciunas
    4 Nikola Jokic
    5 Robin Lopez
    6 Zaza Pachulia
    7 Gorgui Dieng
    8 Nikola Vucevic
    9 Marc Gasol
    10 Aron Baynes
    11 Timofey Mozgov
    12 Boban Marjanovic
    13 Meyers Leonard
    14 Roy Hibbert
    15 Jeff Withey
    16 Dewayne Dedmon
    17 Alex Len
    18 Kyle O'Quinn
    19 Alexis Ajinca
    20 Joel Anthony
    21 Chris Kaman
    22 Henry Sims

We have two that can shoot FTs in Beasley and DMo - probably should be finishing games or seeing more of those two working together.

DMo can play center in those situations.

I'd still take 2008 Dwight Howard that was in the Olympics

he can only play center in spurts. he can't handle the workload that comes with the C position and physicality it involves.

People want to criticize this and that about the C position yet think its so easily just to replace it with real productivity that is without a doubt an upgrade.

Dedmon would actually be a nice piece, he has very good physical tools and can knock down some mid range (AND FT'S).

DMo can't handle center full time. Last night he was getting pushed around by TT and the Russian.

He played center for a ton of games last year, there are games he is physically overmatched, but hardly any team has a traditional center anymore.

That's really what matters. A good coach would make sure that his team makes its free throws at a decent percentage. None of this "Oh, they can't change their style; they'll always be this way" bull****. It's like being told a batter can't change their swing in pro baseball after they've spent so much time using it. BULL****.

Any coach worth their salt knows how important free throws are, and any coach that wants to win would make damn sure that their big men can shoot an above-hacking percentage at the bare minimum.

The idea that pro players can't improve, so we only trade static pieces around until we get an adequate set...that's nuts. Of course, pros can fix their weaknesses and improve the strengths of their game. Well, pros that aren't Dwight Howard, anyway. If you can't get your players to stop being liabilities in important places, especially in an area every little kid understands is important, you're a ****ing terrible coach. McHale and Bickerstaff were ****ing terrible solely because they allowed their players to destroy win after win with atrocious free-throw shooting.

Get us a good coach that takes no ****. That will supercede even the most clever player acquisition chess. Forget about Durant; he's not coming. Put all your effort, Morey or Morey's successor, into getting the best possible coaching staff money can buy.

and look what happened. it doesn't matter whether there's traditional centers or not. the physicality and quickness of bigs in the league isn't something he can handle full time. like i said he can play in spurts here and there but its evident when hes overmatched on many nights, especially now.

DMo can definitely finish games at center. We'll just lose every rebound in the 4th quarter

....unless Adam Silver takes action to limit the hack-a, which he said he would this year, after he backed off last year.

Still not getting my hopes up though - but if he does it becomes arbitrage - guys like Dwight and Clint jump in value overnight.

DMo's playing like a little b**** right now. Those little floaters, mini hook shots ain't going to cut it in the 4th quarter.

I swear to God, you would I think our coaches would teach these guys to go up strong and try to flush it down in the paint. But then again they're our coaches:rolleyes:

The NBA will change the rules to stop hacking. It's more profitable for the owners and the NBA for the hacking to stop.
