Liggins was cut by the Pelicans. 6’6” and shot 36% from three last year. Young and athletic similar to Jonathan Simmons. I would like Morey to add him to the Rockets. I think he can beat out MCW. Unless Morey plans to flip Brandon Knight for Bazemore or a Rodney Hood trade. Go for it.
He’s 30 and will be 31 in March so I’m not sure how he’s young and athletic like Simmons. He shot 36% on 3’s on less than 1 3PA a game; he’s also never been a high-volume 3PT shooter in his career. Beyond that, it doesn’t seem that he has any other discernible offensive skill set as he’s not a good shooter overall and is a poor free throw shooter. MCW can at least handle the ball...Liggins can’t so they wouldn’t be competing for the same spot. His defense is what keeps him in the league, but he’s not great...above average at best. Really, just a body.

The bump makes no sense because Morey never wanted Liggins the player since he only was here as part of the non-guaranteed salary flotsam used to lure a salary dump trade. If you want to talk about Liggins go search a thread in NBA talk where people discuss non-Rockets.
If you say so. I think Liggins with Rockets makes more sense than MCW. MCW is a project wing.....he won't make is as a PG. He has proven that . Only reason he is in the league is for this last attempt at a position change. It might work out as the Rockets ate unique.....bit so could Liggins playing SF. I wrote down some numbers before work....but I can get to them right now. I will reply better later.
