I always thought he was a pretty good blogger - honestly do you prefer Fran Blinebury?

Sometimes Kelly posts here, maybe he could comment for a Clutchfans exclusive?

Kelly used to be cool, but for about the past year or so he's been doing a lot more click-bait crap.

    Perhaps this explains it?

Maybe its his idea of protest or "reining it in"

I'd like to think that's a Yahoo! thing and not a Kelly Dwyer thing, but who knows.

Has Gilbert's open letter to LeBron disappeared without a trace from Cyberspace?

Yeah, I remember back in the days when he posted here once in a while and was cool. His pieces were mostly quality stuff. Then he seemed to have become more and more obnoxious, and has been rude to posters who criticize his stuff.

KD used to have a Zach Lowe before Zach Lowe vibe about him and he's kind of switched into pretentious self-absorbed mode over the last couple years. More commentary than analysis.

Still better than most and it was cool how he posted on Clutchfans. Stupid he is being censored.

Nothing new. Advertisers pay the bills, control the content to an extent. There's a reason why you don't see any news stories on how car dealerships use false advertising and get fined for it.

And to an extent teams that advertise in the local paper or on radio will not be pleased with articles or what is said. Sometimes the local teams have a good enough relationship with the bosses at the newspaper to get an article edited or pulled.

But it's an absolute joke that Yahoo pulled that article bc of that crap.

Kelly is great. Even if you did not agree with him, why would you be happy about corporate censorship?

Who goes to Yahoo Sports anymore? Marissa Mayer killed it.

Woah, this is VERY uncool, getting fired for doing the job you were hired to do?

What about Freedom of the Press, you know the bit in the constitution?

I hope Dwyer can sue the crap out of Yahoo if he gets canned.

I can't remember exactly what happened, but he posted a factually inaccurate anti-Howard article that got ripped up pretty well here...is this the guy I'm thinking about? Anyhow, maybe it's old man syndrome, but I too used to think fondly of him if I ever came by his stuff bc he was a CF poster. Then, somewhere along the way, I began to think of him as a d-bag writer just scamming for attention. I could be completely unfair and mixing him up with someone else...whatever, it's late.

^ yeah, it was regarding those unpaid traffic tickets that were wrongly attributed to Dwight. Clutch did the work and proved Dwight couldnt have received most of them since he was elsewhere playing ball.

Dwyer never owned up to that terrible peice of journalism.

...and then he produces good reads like this one: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ball-...e-at-the-palace---ten-years-on-181226969.html

    Something is amiss...
