Same story from last year. Get back to me when something happens. And it better not be a small/lateral move, which is what Morey has only been good for.

you could have come here and been told the rockets are actively pursuing trades for the last 3 years at least.

It would be news if someone reported that we weren't active.

Houston is active, if not the most active team at the trade deadline
Houston is trying to trade up in the draft
Houston is willing to rent [superstar x]

You can just about count on hearing that every year. What others am I missing that we hear every year?

Well, among all those teams, he mentioned us, and toronto that he expects to have a trade. I am just happy, Dmorey is always trying.

I would tend to believe Woj's report that the Rockets are being aggressive over Aldridge's report that the Rockets are being active.

The exact quote, which is really a repeat of what everyone is saying.

Yes, and repeating the same exact sentiment 25 times in a row in this thread is even more redundant! Meta World Groupthink!

... which conflicts with Bucher's "guarantee" the Rockets roster will be different :)

My theory of our thought process:

Can we get Dwight or Dwill while retaining enough pieces to keep him around?
    -waiting on Dominos to fall

    Can we get Gasol?
-Lets find a third team to facilitate and not overpay

    Can we get Wallace/Granger/Iggy?
-Maybe, we may have to overpay, but lets wait till the bigger dominos fall first.

    We have offers for Martin.
-Its selling low...do we take them or hold him. Lets see what else happens.

    We can get Kaman easy.
-does it make us better? Is it worth pulling the trigger and sacraficing the ability to make better deals if they pop up later.

What do we do with the expiring contracts?
-Do we flip them for something valuable, or let them walk for nothing in the offseason

I guess we're going to find out how desperate Morey is to make a trade.

NBA.com David Aldridge reports that reputable sources (A. Woj) say the Rockets are active.
