to be fair, in the three seasons Bird took more than 25 three pointers in the playoffs (which is like what, 2 games for Harden or Curry), he shot 41%, 34%, 38%
So he shot like 2/3 of his playoff threes at a solid clip.
He was just HORRIBLE on the other 1/3

One year at 4 for 15, his last three seasons at 5 for 19, 3 for 21 and 0 for 5.

I don't say this to disprove DM, though. Cause DM is right. Bad playoffs shooting threes are bad playoffs shooting threes.

More of note, Lebron's playoff PER every year and lifetime absolutely dominates Larry's - and most people with at least enough games played. He's also a meaningful more efficient 2 point shooter than Larry.

    Etc, etc.

I think people who are hanging on to the idea that Larry Bird is a better NBA player than Lebron James are insane... having seen both... but that's just me.

He also has kobe above him, and you can automatically disregard all nba opinions of a person who ranks kobe above lebron.

Although Larry Bird was a great player, his stature was enhanced to legendary status due to his Whiteness. If he had the same exact career but was Black, he'd just be another great player.

After the 1987 Celtics Pistons playoffs series ended, Isiah Thomas and Rodman said so not realizing it would come out publicly. Although they should have taken care to keep these opinions private, many Blacks concurred and do so to this day.

i think we're burying the lead. hakeem apparently isn't better than kobe either. but it's skip, so who cares.

yeah, larry's playoff PER isn't exactly the stuff of legend. one of the biggest drops from regular season to playoff PER among the top 50-75 players all time.
