We are capped out and we would only blow up the team for Lebron maybe PG which were the only real stars that fit our team. Neither wanted to come here, so I was prepared to just run it back. People need to get realistic, who could the Rockets have even gotten at this point. We have no money and we are not dumping Ryan and trading away first rounders for anyone like Randle or Aaron Gordon. It makes no sense to give up future flexibility for those type of players especially now that the Warriors got Cousins. Rockets are better off waiting this year out and seeing if they can steal someone next summer when the warriors should be significantly weaker cuz Klay, Cousins, Durant should all be free agents.
I’ve been as disappointed as anyone with this sh$t summer for the Rockets. At this point, I’ve come to peace with just riding this season out and looking to next summer with the ryno becoming an expiring. Bitterly disappointing to lose Ariza and add nothing though when we were right at the doorstep.
