Having missed Paul half the season, and with Clint injured AND having the first 10 games ruined by some kind of melodrama.

The team as assembled is going to be competitive. As far as the woe of "we can't beat the warriors" - have they even beaten us this season? Good luck to them.

Only if he isn't on the roster already - which he is! So no problems.

Sure, but isn't there a cut of date for playoff eligibility?

A player doesn't need to be signed by 3/1 to be eligible, they just need to be a free agent to be playoff eligible. I think Dahntay Jones only signed with the Cavs for one regular season game before their playoff run the last couple of years.

It would be too late for him to be playoff eligible

It wasn't just corner three that house brought to table.

Don't forget about the play making of Daniel house. The golden state game was highlight of house career.

Both parties (House and Morey) need to mend fences and come up with a contract everybody can live with.

Come on, let's get it done.

Yes, if you aren't off a roster, you need to be off a roster by March 1st to be playoff eligible.

But I think he is already on our roster on a 2way contract, soo....

MrButtocks has already clarified this question of mine on this page. Thanks for your help. MaxRider corrected me, and said 3/1 is the last date for acquiring a buyout candidate. I knew that part, but I also assumed that it was the last date for playoff eligibility as well.

House didn't sign the contract because he knew he was going to get traded and wanted to stay on the Rockets.

    Not happening.

If the Rockets add it will be for the minimum in the buyout market.

At this point the Rockets are not going back into the tax territory.

House best bet is a different Texas organization like San Antonio, Dallas, new Orleans or Memphis.

Even Zach Randolph might end up in the buy out market so it can happen to any nba player.

If House isn't dealt with until late march then we wasted a player .

No way the guy comes back after 2 months of not playing and suddenly is right back in the groove .

House wasted his chance , the rockets are wasting any value House might have this season

When you are an undrafted young player with less than 50 games under your belt with the perfect opportunity (contending team dealing with injuries with a playmaker / system that maximizes your strengths), you latch onto that opportunity like a rabid leech. He tried to play hardball and Morey told him to take his ball and go home.
