Huge mistake, will make it harder to get him to replace Bickerstaff like Les wants.

Damn, I wanted MDA to come here in an assistant-type role.

NBA forced this move. They want things fixed in Philly.

Clever ploy to keep the winning ruse going in Philly. No, we aren't tanking ... we got Colangelo and D'Antoni now.

I don't want D'Antoni anywhere near the Rockets. His last 7 years coaching have been spectacular failures. The rest of the league has caught up to the "7 seconds or less" pace and D'Antoni offers nothing original or innovative at this point. His time of relevancy has passed.

His offensive plays are awesome. Like ATOs and out of bounds.

His time in NY and LA were periods where both teams were trying to tank (NY trying to win the Lebron sweepstakes, LA trying to bridge to Kobe's next stacked team). His only success came in 2012 when he found a player at the end of the bench...

Yes, Knicks weren't trying to tank though, they were just trash.

I wish this guy would just retire so I wouldn't have to see his stupid face, or hear his stupid name, or reflect on his stupid coaching career made entirely by having Steve Nash. Go away Pringles.

Knicks were trying to clear cap space so they could offer a max contract to Lebron, so yeah, they weren't trying to tank...they just had garbage players. So not really D'Antoni's fault they were so bad.

Not the right man for the job. all he wants to do is push the ball. Philly will be a team that dominates inside with Embidd( hopefully) and Okafor.

So, you are saying that D'Antoni took the only jobs in the NBA he could get, which was for teams trying to tank?

Poor Sixers...they were on the right track, then NBA came and messed it up.
