The thread title is such an understatement it isn't funny. The pain the Mavs endured during the entire 4th quarter must have been pure unadulterated helpless agony. I wouldn't wish that on anybody, except Mavericks fans.

 

This won't quite make up for the Rockets choke job in the first round, but it comes close...

 

I'm surprised you're not leaping with joy... seeing how sure you were the Mavs were gonna rise up and end the "nice ride" of thinking they could be eliminated in the first round..

 

I feel even more sorry for Mark Cuban. Poor guy doesn't even realize he is going bald.

 

Mmm, I'm sorry, but I'd rather the Warriors have done it. Seriously. Do you KNOW what it means for people here to have been beaten by Nellie? That's like the Texans losing in the playoffs to the Titans. No, it's way, way better with a Warriors win.

 

I don't feel sorry for Dallas. They talked all year like they were just going to stroll to the championship and win it. I'm glad the were whooped by an 8th seeded team.

yup its different 1 beaten by 8 and 5 beaten by 4.. difference in who's got HCA too.

 

and actually it should have been a 5 beaten by a 3, the nba was still using the top 3 must be division winners rule and the mavs had a much better record than the sonics that year.

either way i would say the rockets loss that year was REAL BAD but the mavs job this year was even worse, only the sonics i think choked bigger and even though I think this dallas team had more reg season victories that sonics team was up 2-0 and ended up losing the series 3-2, 3 possible close out games and couldnt get the job done. also i dont remember but i think they won the first two games pretty easily as well.
