I just wish Mills would tell Berkman and Roy to just shut up and play the game.

Their whining in the media is not helping the team, nor setting a good example for the young team.

Berkman is playing like crap.....he has no room to talk.......hit the ball, and then maybe he would have some trade value.

    Same for Lee.

As for Roy O, talk to Nolan Ryan about lack of run support....just pitch, and shut up....if the team can trade you, it will.

I understand their frustration, but I wish the manager would be a little more of a leader.

Gonna be a crap year....in the battle for Worst place in all of baseball.

Did he actually say something or are you saying he should? Because your title indicates the former while your post indicates the latter.

Well this thread title is extremely misleading. It was like "finally, something interesting with the Astros..."

Funny thing is, Mills' last comment on this matter was:

“Both guys indicated they’re getting older and they’d like a chance to win soon and they’d like to help the organization out by bringing back some good young players. So I understand where they’re coming from.’’

I don't think this thread could be anymore misleading, especially after you put in quotes something he didn't say

It's funny because the last thing Roy said regarding being traded was that he was gonna shut up and play.....he'd let his agent worry about that stuff.

The veterans on this team are pretty classy guys...they're not gonna whine. Asking to be traded when you're at the tail end of your career and the team is heading in the opposite direction seems pretty rational.

And if it somehow got to the point where he had to say it, well I'd hope Mills would have the decency to keep that stuff behind closed doors...which is something Wade hasn't exactly done with some of his comments.

I don't think the grocer will trade Roy unless he makes a stink, so I don't blame him one bit for going public.

The Vets are right! What the hell are we doing..?! we know we cant win.. but we arent rebuilding.. were just being stagnant.. AS MUCH AS I LOVE ROY O, and Big Puma we should be concerned about the future..

we should clean house except Bourne and Pence.
